Meet The President

President’s Message

Greetings and welcome to the Stafford County Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction Inc. (TLOD) website.

It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the 3rd elected president of this outstanding chapter filled with women who are eager to go out into our community and serve as our eight wonderful founders envisioned that we would when we were organized in Tyler, TX in 1964.

We are an award-winning chapter, since our chartering on February 3, 2018, the members of our chapter continue to answer the call to volunteerism and serve the people of Stafford County, Fredericksburg, King George, Spotsylvania and the surrounding areas with enthusiasm and excellence.  We stay true to our national moto, “Serving Youth and Adults.”

We take pride in our number one thrust which is our Top Teens of America (TTA) program where we strive to help our teens live up to the moto, “Participation is the Foundation as Leaders of Tomorrow.”  We work to make sure that teens leave the TTA with leadership skills that will elevate them to the top.

Our five major programs (thrust) are Senior Citizens, Status of Women, Community Partnerships, Community Beautification and Top Teens of America (TTA).  Our five national projects are National Association for Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW), United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, and Literacy. We also have partnerships with AARP, St. Jude, and March of Dimes.

I encourage you to take a little time and explore what we are doing in our community.

“Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. Its important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It’s the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.”
